How To Make Money Blogging – 10 Step Solution

March 5th, 2010 -

Firstly, we all want to know How to Make Money Online, and one of the best ways I have found is by creating blogs. In this article I intend to show you how you too can learn How to Make Money Blogging by telling you how combining the techniques I have gathered from across the web helps to make me $$$ every day. Secondly, I am not trying to sell you my latest “Get Rich Quick” scheme because I don’t have one. Each eBook you read will have a wealth of information within them which will, without a doubt help you to discover the secrets of How to Make Money Online. I am only going to tell you which ones out of the 100’s available you SHOULD read if you too want to make lots of money.

I use a 10 step guide to setting up and starting all of my blogs.

I will give you a list of the top 10 resources later that I use and recommend to everyone who is serious about making lots of money online. One of the vital aspects people seem to miss out when they first get into blogging is the fact that their blog must contain information that people want to read.

Many bloggers are looking through closed eyes in this regard and if you browse through 50 blogs you will notice that most will tell you they know How to Make Money with Blogs when really all they tell you is where they went on their vacation or how many cars they have.

Are you ready to learn How to Make Money Blogging?

If the answer is YES then read on and start to make money with your blog. I am not here to tell you how to write your blog, that’s up to you, but what I am about to tell you is the 10 things I use to make money on the internet. You can choose to use these techniques or not, that’s your prerogative.

Step 1 – Finding a Topic

Turn off your computer, grab a pen and some paper and sit somewhere you can relax but also stay focused (if you are just starting out this step can be a pain because we all want to know How to Make Money Online and we want to know how to make it NOW). Think of a topic you are interested in and write it down (this helps because you will be more committed to trying instead of giving up in a day or two) and also make sure it is something other people are interested in too. A couple of ways I use to think of a topic is by using MetaSpy to find out what people are searching for, Ask IQ to find what’s popular and VRE Toolbar to find out how many people search for the topic (this is also useful later on to get traffic). Write down your top five keywords, you will want to use them later in your blog.

Step 2 – Create Your Blog

Find and create your blog online. I like to use Blogger but other popular Blog platforms are Wordpress and Movable Type. You can find all the help in the program you use to get information when setting up the blog. Create your content, make it original, and make it informative. This is one of the main keys to learn How to Make Money with Blogs. You need to include the keywords you wrote down in Step 1 in the content of your blog. Try not to overuse these as it sends out bad signals to the search engines, and this is 100% not what you want.

Step 3 – Go Google

Sign up for Google Adsense and insert the code in the margin of your blog. You can customize your ads in many ways, such as including text links or image links. I prefer the text links only, as they are easier to blend in with your blog and don’t take the focus away from the information. Google Adsense will probably not make you a millionaire but it is an instant way of generating a small amount of money.

If you want to track where your visitors are coming from with regards to direct hits or from search engine results then I would suggest you use Google Analytics and again you can get all the help you need setting that up from within the program.

You will also want to add your URL to Google’s index.

Step 4 – Find Something to Sell

If you don’t want to sell anything and are happy with the income Google Adsense is bringing in then you can skip this step. If you want to maximize your income and truly learn How to Make Money with Blogs you will want to find an affiliate program to join. A couple of affiliate programs I would suggest are ClickBank and Commission Junction. You can sell anything from office furniture, pet supplies, movies and clothing to PC games, Dieting tips and Audio software.

Whatever program you join will give you help inserting the code you will need to insert into your blog, but be sure you do this correctly or you WILL NOT earn money from your visitors. If you do not know how to edit HTML, W3Schools HTML tutorial is a great place to start.

Step 5 – Social Bookmarking

There is no better advertising than word of mouth, but the next best thing is social bookmarking. You will want to make things easier for people to do this. Social bookmarking sites I use and recommend are OnlyWire and SocialMarker and they are used for people to share their bookmarks or websites that they have liked with other people in their online community.

I would not suggest you add your own links to these services, but provide visitors to your website the ability to do so.

Step 6 – Write an Article

Whether your blog is about a specific product, for example a certain MP3 Player you are promoting, or just about giving people information, I would suggest you to write an article or a review of it. Most article directories require articles of 500 words and over so I would use this as a rule when writing to ensure your article is published.

Submit your article to any of the 100’s which are out there. I personally use a few of the Top Article directories such as EzineArticles, Article Dashboard, Amazines.com, isnare and SearchWarp. I also use a nifty piece of software called Article Submitter which will submit your articles to over 600 article directories, which saves you lots of time and leaves you to focus on writing your blogs.

Step 7 – Ping The Hell Out Of It

Every time you add new information to your blog, you want to let the blog directories know about it, this is known as pinging. Some Blog providers automatically send out pings when you update, but to be on the safe side you will want to do this manually too. ONLY PING WHEN YOU UPDATE.

There are a couple of Ping sites I use which will send a ping to multiple blog directories at the same time. PingMyBlog would be my first port of call and then if for some reason that site is down I would use Ping-o-matic. Remember, to only ping when you update or you could get blacklisted, and that is bad.

Step 8 – Yahoo! Answers and Forums

One of the easiest ways to get targeted visitors to your blog is to make use of the people you want to target. I would suggest you sign up to at LEAST one forum in the topic you are writing about, and don’t just go straight in there and start posting comments for people to look at your blog, they won’t.

The secret is to add the link to your blog in your signature and actively become a member of the forum, posting relevant topics and starting debates within them. The more you post, the more your link will show, and if you provide someone with good info the chances are higher they will click your link.

Yahoo! Answers is along the same lines as forums but the beauty of this is it’s viewed by thousands of visitors each day. If you don’t already have a Yahoo! account get one and then login and search for questions relating to the topic of your blog and answer them well. You can then insert the link to your blog and as with the forums, if you answer well you may have not only earned yourself a point or two on Yahoo!, but also earned a visitor to your blog.

Step 9 – Update Your Blog

This can be by several means, one is to add new reviews or content to your blog, and if you are going to do this I suggest updating every couple of days. This helps to keep the search engines happy as they love to see new and original content.

Another way of updating your blog and keeping the content fresh is to add RSS feeds to it. Make sure the feeds are relevant to your blog and provide visitors with helpful information. Visitors to a World of Warcraft blog don’t want to read feeds about knitting, or do they?

Step 10 – More, More, More

Repeat steps 1 – 10, this is the only way How to Make Money Blogging.

Step 11 – A Bonus Step

If you have your own product or newsletter, give your visitors an easy way to sign up to receive updates or information. This helps you to contact the visitor again with more great info or products you wish to sell.

How to Make Money Online is easy if you follow the above steps.

Some important things to remember so you don’t get disheartened with your blog is the fact that you will not become a millionaire overnight, it takes hard work and a lot of effort. If you are really serious about learning How to Make Money with Blogs then stick with it and eventually you will have an Ah-Ha moment. This is when things start to work and you think to yourself Ah-Ha, that’s how they do it. Your moment could be sooner than you think.

How To Make Big Money With Your Band

February 6th, 2010 -

Being a musician for many years now, all I ever wanted to do was to be able to make a good living by doing what I can’t do without, which is performing and writing music. Its a blessing to be on a stage looking out over a big room full of people to share your music with. You’ll never experience a feeling like it. Just the satisfaction of knowing that for that moment in time you are completely understood. Its extremely gratifying and addictive.

Over the years, its become evident to me that I’m not the only one who feels this way. Its only natural to want the band that your in to be a success. I’ve received letters for years from people just like you wanting to know how to grow their fan base and how to turn their craft into something profitable. Well, you can do these two things at the same time. Right now, I’m putting the finishing touches on a book that actually shows you everything you need to know about how to become a successful band. And its not just for beginners either, this book should be an essential for any band who wants to quickly become a fan favorite and start making serious money. I will tell you how you can get your hands on a copy of it a little bit later, but first I want to touch on a few things that’s in the book.

First, I hate to be the one who has to tell you this, but these days its practically impossible to be a success on the music alone. There are actually a few things that fans take into consideration when deciding to like your band, and all of these things will be explained in the book. I will show you how to get out of the garage and onto a stage. And, yes it does matter where the guitar player, the bass player, the keyboardist(if you have one), the drummer, and the singer is positioned on stage. Or if you have anybody else in your band, such as back up singers and/or a horn section, I will also teach you all of that too, in a chapter called “the successful band formula”.

The real important thing to know if your in a band is you need a forever growing following. That’s essential for the success of a band. And the only way to know that is as a band, you are a creative entity and a business. I know as the artist that you are, I know the last sentence is a hard one to swallow, and deservingly so, but for the public to like you, they have to be able to take you home with them and think about you. And they do that with products such as c.d.’s, shirts, etc. It is very important to bring band recordings to your shows to sell. If you don’t have any other products, you should at least have c.d.’s. It gives you extra income and more importantly, it gives your ever growing audience the opportunity to get familiar with your music.

Presentation is the key to being well liked at your shows. Your first shows should be all about winning the whole crowd over, and the only way you can do that is very good, well rehearsed presentation. And that’s not just rehearsing your music. Presentation is the show as a whole. From the stage show to your backdrop to the table where your products are sold and the people behind the table helping you sell the products. It should be a well oiled, fine tuned machine. All of that will be explained in entirety in the book.

Another point to take into consideration is to not only have a band onstage, but an act. Every member in the band plays a different character. That is also very important and all to often overlooked in a band. To have each member of the band’s character relate to everybody. It gives the audience the feeling that they know you and can relate to you. And that draws them in even closer and that’s what you want to happen, because it enhances the overall product that your providing to them. And you are the only band around that they can get that from. In the book, I will teach you how to make a character and bring it to life, as well as to develop that character as more time passes.

If you are serious about having a devout following, you should seriously consider getting this book. Your going to get so much more important information for you to have. And like I said, its not just for a band that’s just starting out. Any band that’s interested in making good money and giving the audience a really good, memorable, and professional show should have this book. It will show you how to put on a really good show.

If you had a professional manager or agent, this book will teach you everything that they would want you to know. That in itself will attract them to you. Not to mention teach you how to get the major record labels to pay attention to you.

You could pay hundreds of dollars for this information and it would be worth every penny, but you won’t. In fact, you won’t pay anywhere near it. For the price of four packs of guitar strings you will get all of the valuable information inside this book. Satisfaction guaranteed. Just write to me to receive more information and how to order: Barry Ford 205 Terry Loop Rd. Cordova, Alabama 35550.
As always, I hope you found this article both informative and entertaining. And may GOD bless you always, and in always.

How NOT to Make Money with Google Adsense

December 31st, 2009 -

If youre like me and have been scouring the internet for a sure fire way of making some extra income from your content rich website then you have no doubt come across and have probably joined the Google Adsense program and placed Google ads on your website, and have also had the frustration of not getting enough visitors to your site and again have been scouring the internet for information on combining Google Adsense and Google Adwords to get targeted visitors to your site.

You no doubt like me have come across the so called Get Rich Quick With Google Adsense e-books, which offer a sure fire system to use the Google Adwords feature to unlock those Google Adsense riches on your website and have probably handed over the $30 to $60 to find out the secret system. Well this article has been written to expose the myths behind these so called systems and to warn people that the results will be very disappointing.

Google Adsense Fact

The major problem with these systems is they try to blind you with a massive list of high paying keywords which Google Adword bidders supposedly pay for certain keywords and your focus is to try and concentrate your efforts on including these keywords on your website page, so the Google Adsense can put these high paying Google ads on your site, therefore increase your click through payments.

Fact is Google ads rarely payout over $2 per click for Google Adsense, I have run sites myself with the supposed top keyword “yahoo domains and the most I earned was about 50 cents per click which seems to be the Google Adsense average.

All this high paying keyword information is not going to make the so called $50 per click that some of these e-books claim, the best paying keyword out there at the moment is to do with asbestos cancer and this will only give you between $3 and $5 per click and is such a niche keyword, that not everyone is interested in reading about the subject or going to click on the Google ads on your website.

Google Adwords Fact

The Google Adwords part of the systems require you to find a high paying niche keyword, get over 200 related keywords list, create a one page website with a single article leeched from one of the free article sites surrounded by three Google ad blocks, then effectively write a Google ad with the chosen keywords as the title (via a special Google tag) and set a campaign budget of $10 a day with a maximum of 7 cents per click bid.

Fact is setting a bid of 7 cents per click will place your ad that low on the search engine that you will only get a small amount of page impressions therefore decreasing the chance of anyone clicking on your Google ad and registering a possible visitor, plus most keywords will not successfully activate Google Ads at such a low bid price.

Conclusion

Though these e-books seem to offer a system, I would have to say it is not an air-tight sure fire way of making a decent income from Google Adsense, there are just too many flaws which cannot be explained away.

My advice would be to stick to building your webpage content daily with no more than two or three Google Ads on each page, in 12 months all the search engines will have no doubt crawled and indexed your web pages hopefully bringing in a steady stream of targeted visitors who will hopefully click your Google Ads and make you a small fortune. GOOD LUCK!!

Why Aren’t You Using Freebies to Get More Customers?

November 29th, 2009 -

Don’t you just love a freebie? I know I do.

I’ve been in two situations recently as a customer, when I received an unexpected freebie. After ordering my usual bagel and coffee at the Bagel Bar,
the girl behind counter offered me a free bottle of mineral water. I was about to ask for a glass of water anyway, so this came as a welcome surprise.

A few days later found me buying a steak at the meat counter in my local supermarket. I was having a chat with the guy behind the counter about the fact that there didn’t seem to be too much meat for so much money.

He obviously took pity on my miserable face when he said – “Tell you what sir, why don’t you have this other steak for the same price” and he slapped another one on top!

So what’s the customer service lesson here? The lesson is that most customers, love a freebie and if they receive one from a supplier it builds a positive
relationship.

As customers, we’re more likely to return and do business with people who give us freebies and we’re more likely to tell other people about our positive experience.

I once read a story article about a restaurant owner who would occasionally give people a free meal. When a group of diners or a family asked for the bill he would spontaneously announce that on this occasion they were his guests and they didn’t have to pay for their meal.

Can you imagine how these people felt – what they said to friends and work colleagues the next day? That free meal probably cost the restaurant owner a lot less that advertising in the local newspaper and it also brought in a lot more new customers.

The Law of Reciprocity states that – “If you give someone something or do something for them – they will want to repay you – to give you something.”

Why don’t you think of some little unexpected freebie you can offer your customers that’ll encourage them to return and also tell others about their positive experience. And while we’re at it – why not try the same thing with
members of your staff. Even your personal relationships – a small unexpected gift or an act of kindness can do wonders for any relationship.

Believe me, once you start to do this, you’ll have many more satisfied customers, happy staff and appreciative friends.

Building Traffic To Your Site Is How To Make Money

Building Traffic To Your Site Is How To Make Money Online

Web Words by the Bulk

Building traffic for your online business site is paramount if you have a dream to make money online. Your Web-based business must have traffic, and traffic comes primarily from Internet marketing.

Content is crucial to a successful business Web site, whether you work from home at your own online business or youre the head of a large brick and mortar global enterprise. People come to the Web to get something for nothing, and most of the time what they want and expect is information. Writing articles or publishing articles written by others are two key factors in how to make money online.

If you find that your online business Internet marketing thrives from the free articles you offer and you want to buy them in large quantities over an extended period of time without paying a hefty per-article fee you might want to look into article memberships. What these companies offer are hundreds of articles each month for a set fee. They all limit the number of members allowed in the club, thus assuring that the article you publish to your business Web site wont appear a couple of thousand other places as well. Your work is not done when you pay the fee and choose the articles however. Whats very important with these article memberships, if they are to get you the best Internet marketing results and help you in building your sites traffic, is that you alter them enough to give them your own flavor and your own branding.

Youll have the right to rewrite these articles any way you see fit, and generally you can even resell them to others if you wish. The point, however, beyond offering free content to consumers, is that you put yourself forward as the expert, and that you grow your brand through these articles. It doesnt take a lot of alteration, either. A change of a few words here and there, the injection of some ideas specific to your industry and even your firm, and a few key words specific to what you offer and youve branded the article to your online business and helped your marketing via the Internet.
